Voted Best Cherry Tomatoes!

 

While not the most important thing in the world, it is good to know that we have a quality product that is showing performance! 

The Nampa Farmers Market held a tomato judging contest in which anyone could bring their "biggest and baddest" tomato to enter into the competition. Winners were selected out of a few different categories: interesting looks, size, and lastly, best tasting cherry tomato. 

We entered a variety of cherry tomato called Sun Gold, from Johnny's selected seeds, which won first prize in the taste competition. 

Sun gold isn't your average tomato. Instead of being mushy on the inside, it is fairly firm, slightly juicy, and is very sweet and tart, which makes them perfect for snacking and salads! 

Fresh tomatoes are always better, whether that be variety, texture, or taste! If you're a home gardener looking for a different variety to "spice" up the garden with, I would highly recommend Sun Gold!
